Masala Movement meets South Asian Hangout – am Samstag, den 8. Juni 2024 ab 17:30 Uhr im OYA in Köln-Mülheim

Dieses erstmalige Zusammentreffen richtet sich an alle, die sich südasiatischen Communities zugehörig fühlen, sowie an Friends und Unterstützer:innen. Das Event dient als Safer Space, um sich auszutauschen, kennenzulernen und zu vernetzen. Dazu gibt es Samosas und Cocktails vom OYA und DJ-Sets von Vineetha, Pawas und Pooja B. Als Special gibt es Henna-Art für die Hände.

Ein machtkritischer Umgang ist uns wichtig. Angehörigen der südasiatischen Diaspora soll hier ein Raum gegeben werden, in dem sie sich in der Vielfalt ihrer Identitäten geschützt und bestärkt fühlen können, ohne sich erklären zu müssen. Einen respektvollen Umgang, der dies ermöglicht, setzen wir voraus.

Das Awareness-Team vom OYA wird vor Ort sein.

19:00 – 20:30 Uhr: Pawas
20:30 – 22:00 Uhr: Pooja B
