In diesem künstlerischen Workshop mit Poras Dhakan schmelzen wir Altes ein, um Neues zu erschaffen – symbolisch wie materiell. Teilnehmende sind eingeladen, eigenes (Alt-)Material mitzubringen und im Sandgussverfahren Schmuckstücke neu zu gestalten. Gemeinsam denken wir über Herkunft, Besitz und die transformierende Kraft von Kunst nach. Der Workshop dauert bis ca. 18 Uhr. Keine Vorkenntnisse nötig. Falls Silber oder Messing benötigt wird, fallen zusätzliche Materialkosten von 20 € an. Alle weiteren Details folgen nach der Anmeldung.

Die Rahmenveranstaltung DeColonia LAB bringt kreative Ausdrucksformen mit Community-Building zusammen. Ausstellung, Tanz, Musik, Film, Paneltalk und Workshop eröffnen dabei vielfältige Blicke auf dekoloniale und postmigrantische Perspektiven. Lokal verankert, global inspiriert – von Köln bis in die Welt.

DeColonia LAB ist ein kleiner Anfang einer großen Idee: Ein regelmäßig stattfindendes Festival für transkulturelle Kreativität, welches gemeinschaftlich verwirklicht wird. Somit versteht sich dieser Auftakt auch als Plattform und Netzwerktreffen für (post-)migrantische Initiativen aus Köln und darüber hinaus.
